From our Early Chinese Collection, a large and magnificent Southern Song Dynasty qingbai funerary urn (960 - 1279 AD). Based upon published and nearly identical examples dated to 1209 AD, we can probably safely date this piece closer to circa 1190 - 1230 AD...

A Chinese Celadon Glazed Vase. Circa, 14th-15th Century, Yuan-Ming Dynasty. Found in the Philippines. Featuring a baluster shaped body rising from a splayed foot, tapering to its shoulders onto a long waisted neck, flaring to its mouth and is covered overall in a green celadon glaze, except for the foot-ring. Description:

A fine white-tinted shallow bowl was in perfect condition.
In characteristic Dingyao milky-white glaze, the bowl owned the also white-tinted body clay which in characteristic tense and greasy feel quality.
Incursions had happened to the rims and on the surface.
It is very rare to find a real Ding ware in such obvious characteristic condition.
It is a small piece but can be a very good proof.

A light Celadon jade pendant depicting the Guanyin (Avalokiteśvara) standing on the sea waves. Mid-20th century. Condition: light brown inclusions; very tiny flakes on the edge; and two short (1/4" to 3/8") cracks on the top edge. Please see photos for details. Length: 4".

A limestone statue of Tang Dynasty was finely preserved.

Description: A full scale(quan-kai) paper painting of ink and colors was from a famous Qing painter Ren Xun(1835-1893).
Well rendered, the figures and scenes were finished by excellent maneuvering of the master painter’s brush strokes.
Defects were observed though, the ancient painting had been well restored and framed by a master Chinese painting restoring expert Lin Mao Long who have done a lot of works for the Palace Museum of Taipei.

Description:

A Longquan bowl was mold in decent Bo(elm bowl) shape.
It was applied on the surface with celadon bean-green glaze and was uniquely carved with willow leaves (Liutiao) patterns for decoration.
The darken firing tint was yielded at the bottom from where the body clay was revealed.
Foggy-look condition was observed in the glaze.

A Yaozhou bowl in the documentation was in the same willow leaves patterns.

Description:

A Longquan table screen was preserved in perfect condition.
It was heavily potted and shaped in good size and was decorated on one side with imprint of poems with real scholar taste.
Whitish incursions had happened to the glaze when body clay was revealed at the feet with applied darken brownish layers.

Date: Ming Dynasty. 15th/16th century.

A small, most beautiful and very rare vase. Fine shugary white porcelain body, covered with an translucent Aquamarin-coloured glaze. Song Dynasty, 12th - 13th century. H : 6,8 cm. Condition : Perfect. ( It seems there is a small missed area to the irregularly shaped, unglazed foot-area. The glazed area of the vase is in an absolutely perfect condition.)

Description:

A black-glazed Jianyang tea bowl was in lovely size.
Uniquely and rarely-seen, it was decorated inside the bowl with splashed white mottles.
Obvious incursions had happened to the glaze resulting in the earthen and foggy look.
That includes the bursting holes of the glaze bubbles.
Wiry crackles can be observed too.
The darken body clay revealed was in enduring old look and was covering with grayish oxidation...

A small Cizhou jar was applied on the surface with black glaze.
In fine shape, the jar was adapted with a newly made lacquer cap.

Date: Yuan periods, 13th Century.

Description:

A limestone stone carving was well performed by sleek cutting edges.
A crouching lion on the top, the stone weight was an original isolated piece as we can believe.
Most of the surface was calcified into grayish white tint.
It was an obvious characteristic for a stone piece what had been stored in a seal-up chamber, maybe under a temple.
The true color of the stone was revealed underside in darken tint...

Description: In a plain and rural form, a stone weight had a beautiful curve and was in a lovely size of 9cm in height. Easy to hold on and can be an ideal piece as a paper weight on your modern desk, the old stone piece would add more atmosphere in your room. Date: Qing Dynasty, Height: 9cm.

A Chinese court "chao fu" silk skirt, altered as a Carnival costume, using one quarter of the skirt as a flap (photo No. 6). Night blue silk with sixteen dragon roundels and four five-clawed "long" dragons pursuing the flaming pearl among clouds, bats and cranes, above waves, stylized rocks and the "lishui" pattern...

Description:

A Lusan stem cup was in lovely size.
It was well preserved by reflecting the retrospective sheen of old condition.
Blue and white splashes were suffused against the dark brownish glaze background on the surface.
Loosening-feel body clay was revealed at the lower portion in beige tint.

Date: Tang Dynasty, 9th/10th century.
