JJ Oriental
$3,400.00 A long-necked original bronze vase with a rounded body. The top of the slender neck has a ring midway and swells out at the mouth in the shape of a garlic bulb, giving the vase its special name. It has a nice aging patina. It can be cleaned but I wouldn't recommend it.
Period: Western Han (206BC - 25AD) Size: Height = 32 cm (12.6 inches) Condition: A small dent on one side. Very good condition for its age.

Each side decorated with a different scene of birds, gnarled rock formations and flowers from lotus to chrysanthemums. Glazes in greens, yellows, blues, and pinks against a black ground. Kangxi 6 character mark in Kaishu on the bottom.

SOLD Adorable small pair of egg yolk colored peking glasses with stands included. These small pieces are charming collectables. Both under four inches tall with stands, have a pumpkin shaped base, thin long necks with a flared mouth. Each glass vase is unique, with slightly different sized bases.
Provenance Phillip Cadero Estate, Circa late 18th-early 19th century. Size: 2.75" H x .5" D A rare and complete group of an ox and carriage in grey pottery with remains of polychrome. China, Tang Dynasty (618-907). The result of the thermoluminescence test by Kotalla is consistent with the dating of this lot.
The report is included in the sale. Dimensions: the carriage H. 32 cm, L. 23 cm, the ox H. 18 cm, L. 23 cm. Condition: very good, no visible repairs, although repairs on early pottery are quite common and accepted.
