Circa 1820-1840 large table size rock crystal snuff bottle. Superbly done with the greatest skills depicting carvings of birds, foliage, and a Qilin mythical beast. The bottle rests on a fine custom rosewood stand that is also expertly produced. In the 2nd photo, it is shown next to a normal rose quartz snuff bottle so you can compare its large size. Circa 1870s hand carved and highly polished rock crystal and purple amethyst snuff bottle. Carved in good medium relief is a maiden carrying a poled basket with reverse having a flycatcher in the lower right corner amongst a landscape (but it is very hard to make out due to the sheen). In excellent condition, the bottle measures 2 7/8" high and 1 3/4" wide.
