Circa 1870s hand carved and highly polished rock crystal and purple amethyst snuff bottle. Carved in good medium relief is a maiden carrying a poled basket with reverse having a flycatcher in the lower right corner amongst a landscape (but it is very hard to make out due to the sheen). In excellent condition, the bottle measures 2 7/8" high and 1 3/4" wide.

Circa 1820-1840 large table size rock crystal snuff bottle. Superbly done with the greatest skills depicting carvings of birds, foliage, and a Qilin mythical beast. The bottle rests on a fine custom rosewood stand that is also expertly produced. In the 2nd photo, it is shown next to a normal rose quartz snuff bottle so you can compare its large size. A splendid Chilong Dragon with a bifurcated tail is presented on the front of this unusual bottle. The material is limestone of a dark hue but under decent lighting exhibits a snowstorm of whitish inclusions.

Approximately 6.6 cm high. Fine condition. The coral stopper is not original.

Lovely Qing Dynasty amber colored agate ovoid form snuff bottle, with an oval foot rim surrounding a shallowly recessed flat base, with mask handles on each side. This is an Amygdaloidal Basalt, heavy, but well hollowed, of flattened globular shape with a short broad cylindrical neck, and an oval recessed foot. Engraved with lion masks to both shoulders. The background is dark gray, almost black, and the attractive mineral inclusions of various shapes are light brown, light blue, gray, green, light green and some shades of rosette.
