$2,000.00 A charming antique Chinese basket with basket weave bottom. The inside of the basket is lacquered in red over black, while the rim and exterior are black lacquered with gilt lacquer banding and motifs of butterflies, fruits, and flowers. The basket has a lovely patina and wear consistent with age.
Dates Ming dynasty, 17th century Dimensions: 12" x 12" x 3" h

Price on Request Antique Chinese square faceted box made of black lacquered wood with inset rattan panels. The top of the box is decorated with a rural scene of court figures in a garden painted in gold lacquer on a black lacquer ground. The box stands on small feet and cut-out details on the bottom portion of the box are lacquered red. A beautiful overall crackle of the lacquer speaks of the box's age.
18th century Dimensions: 9 1/2" high x 14" wide x 14" deep.

Price on Request Unique double diamond Chinese Lacquer Box from the 18th C. The lid of the box has a gold painted mountain scene with two sages near a mountain stream. The crackling of the lacquer indicates the age of the box. The woven wicker inserts encased in a red painted frame on the 8 sides are in pristine condition. Small gold flowers are painted adjacent to the frames. The interior of the box is a large open space.
Date: 18 Century Dimensions: 8" X 18" X 13" Every dish with a different decoration. Diameter 13 cm. All in good condition with normal age wear. From Shanxi province. All dishes with cyclical date 1843.
Lacquer and wickerwork, the inside of the lid serves as a presentation bowl for sweets. Decorated with Buddhist symbols. H. 16 cm, diameter 15 cm. Cyclical date 1857. Good condition with normal age wear.

On Hold A beautifully carved cinnabar round box depicting a sage and his attendant walking under a pine tree in a waterfront scene. We date this box to mid-Qing Dynasty, 18th century. The box is in very good antique condition, with some expected minor loses and small chips, parts of the rims are retouched. Intricately carved with 16 separate and unique reserves depicting detailed scenes of court figures and animals in a garden pavilion setting. The area around the reserves is carved with a geometric design of flowers. Ching dynasty 19th century.

Asian Ethnic Artifacts
$650.00 This large Chinese scale has metal balance beams and shallow metal bowls. The scale fits into an ornately carved red and black lacquer wooden case which is slightly domed and has its original copper band closure.
There is some wood chip loss around what was the hole for the string which allowed the case to be hung up for storage.
Dating from the 1800's the braided cords which attach the shallow bowls to the metal balance beam appear to be replacement cords...
