SOLD A Chinese Shiwan stoneware fanghu vase with a jun glaze, late Ming/early Qing dynasty. The hollow tube handles associate this type of vase with the arrow game pastime but this example, given the small diameters involved would be unsuitable. The glaze is a transmutation glaze and its colour is decided by the kiln conditions at the peak temperature.
Shiwan (Shekwan) ceramics are from southern China, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. Approximately 21.7cm high. Weight is 935 gm...

Decorated with a scene of a standing lady holding a fan next to another seated and with a child on a terrace.
The tea bowl with two cartouches, one with the lady and child the other with the standing figure.

Lovely spherical Ge type crackleware glazed Qing jar with very light celadon tone. There are some chips and cracks so please view enlargements. Authentic antique Ge wares have become very rare in the past 20 years, I was lucky to find this one. H: 7.5cm/2.9in and D: 9cm/3.5in.

Some of the green glaze pieces are chipped off which is very typical for this type of green glaze on pottery pieces, no major damages. Still retained Export Wax Seal on top of the head.

Sold ($10) Description: A Qingbai box with cover which decorated as a mandarin duck was painted with splashed russet glaze. In pale blue hue, beautiful crackles spread all over the surface.
Date: Southern Song (1127-1279)
Height: 5.5cm
Condition: Touch-ups had been done only on the glaze in two parts separately at the rims of basin and cover.
