According to Wikipedia: He-He Er Xian, translated as the Immortals of Harmony and Union and as the Two gods of Harmony and Union, are two Taoist immortals. They are popularly associated with happy marriages. He and He are typically depicted as boys holding a lotus flower (荷, hé) and a box (盒, hé）. An incredibly large and heavy hand carved wood architectural piece, with high relief carved pair of dragons on either side of a central ball of light surrounded in sacred lingzhi clouds. Depicted is a pair of mystical dragon fish on either side, a traditional symbol in China of transformation and new beginnings. The carving floats on a custom steel plates and mounts.

Pair of Chinese gilt wood panels with openwork carved background of geometric lattice design. Each panel with mirrored high relief carvings of a tall vase with a bouquet of floral elements such as lotus, peony, chrysanthemum, and berries surrounded by fluttering hummingbirds. The body of the vase surrounded by lucky bats, scrolls, and other auspicious objects. Each panel bears a calligraphy inscription in the top corner.

Chinese pair of fu dog temple guardians, carved hardwood with old remnants of blue, red, and white pigments. Each fu dog is formed with intricate detail and expression, one with a pearl in its partially open mouth. Mounted on steel plates for museum quality presentation.

Hardback with 22 color, 105 b.& w. photo plates, 26 illustrations. Brown cloth with dustjacket, printed 1976 in a limited numbered edition of 1600, this is No. 19. Condition: clean, dust jacket with little wear and yellowing. Dimension: c. 28.8 cm x 24 cm x 2.8 cm, 2 kg.

Late 18th Century Chinese White Jade Carving Belt Hook & Plaque with Tourmaline Silver Plated (NOT SILVER) Mirror

The mirror is 9.4 inches (24 cm) in length by 4.5 inches (11.5 cm) wide. The plaque is 2.5 inches (6.5 cm) by 3.1 inches (8 cm) wide. The belt hook is 4.7 inches (12 cm) in length by 0.8 inch (2.25 cm) wide and 21.94 mm thick. It weighs 290 gram.

It has tarnished metals and flea bite chips at the jade carvings...

Chinese hard stone agate carving of a mother tiger with her young cub in recumbent pose. The stone has mottled areas of orange, white, spinach green, and grey, exciting a beautiful finish and feel.

A Han bird of an attractive translucent green jade with dark green 'peppery' streaked inclusions. Its squarish stylized shape is both simple and pleasing to the eye. It has an hole for stringing as a pendant..

Condition: Very good. There's a little roughness at the edge of one wing from age but it is not a break.

A large and impressive image of olive-green soapstone (shoushanshi) depicting the demon-catcher Chonggui in martial pose standing above the small image of a seated demon disguised as a Buddhist monk. Extremely fine details. Late Qing Dynasty. H 24 cm. Condition: Excellent.

Antique Chinese carved jade belt hook. Topped with pierced chimera, carved dragon's head over the hook, and archaic scrolls. These belt hooks symbolized the wearer's elite social status as the means of obtaining them was not accessible to those of a lower class.

Chinese carved white jade with orange coloration areas, in the form of a bunch of lingzhi mushroom sprigs. The lingzhi symbolizes good health and longevity, as depicted in the imperial Forbidden City and Summer Palace. It is a talisman for luck in traditional Chinese culture, and the goddess Guanyin is sometimes depicted holding a lingzhi sprig. Provenance: Howard Caplain Estate
