A unusual yellow six sided Nonya plate with a peach and bats for good luck. Nyonya wares are over-glaze polychrome enamelled porcelains made in Jingdezhen in the Kiangsi province of China for the Straits Chinese, or Babas, whose female counterparts are called Nyonyas, hence the term Nyonya ware. Nonya wares were mainly reserved for festive occasions and special functions. Size: W. 15.2cm. Condition: No repairs or chips.

This large and impressive pottery jar dates to the Siwa culture (c. 1350 BC). It has a relatively small flat base and a wide saddle-shaped mouth. There are two loop handles that join the shoulder to the rim. Chinese green glazed pottery stove with silvery surface.

The silvery surface is also called "mercury glaze". This silvery precipitation is the result of chemical changes in the lead glaze caused by prolonged burial in the tomb. Greenware became popular during the Eastern Han period.

This rare group dates from the early Tang Dynasty. It's made of grey pottery and it has traces of painting ( see the back of the cart ). The ox is very well proprtioned and was made with an eye for detail: notice the ring in the nose and the tail curved around its body. The cart consists of three parts; the weels come off.
