Fine Tall Chinese Early Tang Dynasty Painted Pottery Figure / Groom
This rare and interesting pottery model of a foreign groom was made in the early part of the Tang Dynasty (AD 618 - 906). It is made from dense solid pottery (as opposed to being hollow as are the majority of Tang figures). The figure stands upright with his head turned to his right.
