Unearthed from a relics of a temple near Shichuan, this head piece was preserved very well with original red mineral pigment and gold leaf. In an awesome facial expression, the Budhist saint was rendered finely in the features and showing a strong form that was unusually seen in the Chinese traditional sculptures.
