| A South East Asian probably Straits silver tray with a border of pierced repousse work showing flowers, foliage and birds. The rim has foliate and spiked edges.The centre is finely engraved with dense flora, leaves and fantastic birds in flight.It stands on three reeded bun feet.Stamped marks on the base. A couple of illegible letters followed by T.90%. the only similar example I could find is in " Straits Chinese Silver" by HO MING MENG. fig. 26 page 58. size: 10 inches (25.5cm ) diameter.condition: very good, only superficial wear noticeable on the plain areas. | |||||||||||
