| An Indian silver ewer of tapering shape with a lobed section to base and the handle in the form of a mythical double-headed snake. From Kashmir region, it is chased all over with very fine and intricate scroll work showing flowers, paisley and leaves.This is a good example of European influence and Islamic Mughal motifs, finely executed.It bears the maker's mark of five stamped flower heads and one other . size: 24cm high, weight: 20 oz. age: C. 1860 from kashmir. condition:good, no major problem, wear consistent with age and old spots of repair. | ||||||||||||
