Japanese Meiji Cloisonne Enamel Jardiniere Cache Pot

Large late Meiji Period Japanese dark blue ground jardiniere decorated with a collage of chrysanthemums, peonies, lilies, cherry blossoms, and layered green leaves. Copper rims are at the mouth and foot. The interior and base are coated in light blue counter enamel. Measures just over 8" high by 11 1/4" diameter. Very good overall condition. This piece was clearly used, as the water stains in the interior indicate, and has light scratches and wear evident. There are cracks in the counter enamel on the base and there are a few tiny flaws as shown in the enlargements. Otherwise, there is no significant damage. There is normal pitting consistent with the period. This piece is from an old Tucson, Arizona estate.
