Chinese Yixing Pottery Teapot - Three Friends of Winter

Chinese Yixing pottery teapot decorated with the "Three Friends of Winter" motif (pine, prunus, and bamboo). Dates from the Cultural Revolution era (circa 1960's - 1970's). This teapot measures about 3 1/2" high to the top of the pine branch finial by 7 1/2" long from the tip of the spout to the handle. There is a tiny seal under the lid (see enlargement 7). The interior pouring hole has 7 small holes which act as a strainer. Very good overall condition. There are a few chips to the interior lid and there is some minor wear evident. This piece is from the private collection of American expatriates who lived in Hong Kong in the 1970s and 1980s.
