Chinese Yixing Pottery Cultural Revolution Era Teapot

Chinese Yixing pottery teapot decorated with prunus flowers. Dates from the Cultural Revolution era (circa 1960's to 1970's). The interior pouring hole has seven small holes which act as a strainer. There are two unreadable seals on the base and under the lid (see enlargements 7 & 8). It measures about 4” high by about 8” long (tip of spout to handle). The lid fits nice and snug and the condition is very good. There is a lot of evidence of use in the interior. This teapot is from the private collection of American expatriates who lived in Hong Kong in the 1970s and 1980s.
