| Japanese sosaku hanga woodblock print depicting the Bodhisattva of Compassion titled “Kwannon” by Kaoru Kawano (1916-1965). Kwannon is typically romanized as Kannon. The artist's red seal is at the lower right portion of the image amd the black circular seal is on the back. Circa 1950s. Printed posthumously. Paper size: 16 7/8"V x 11 1/4"H (image: 15"V x 9 1/4"H). Excellent overall condition with full margins and mica highlights scattered through the background. There is tape residue on the back at the upper margin. | ||||||||
