Masterpiece glass work made by Kyohei Fujita. This museum quality piece is A hand-blown pink glass box and cover rimmed with silver metal including beautiful falling flower motif on impressive gold and silver leaf decoration, titled Hanafubuki, a shower of cherry blossoms. In Japan, Hanafubuki is a season word depicting the spring season originated from cherry blossoms falling in the wind. This glass work is excellent in condition and comes with his signed and sealed original fitted box. Kyohei Fujita He was bon in 1921, first started working independently with glass in 1949 and has since had numerous exhibitions including a solo exhibition in 1979 in The Museum of Decorative Arts in Copenhagen. The most well-known of Kyohei Fujita's works are the kazaribako [ornamented casket] series, but it took him twenty years or so before he could produce such works.
