Complete funerary set, Eastern Han dynasty circa 2 cen.

A complete model of a house and farm, with two accessory jars, all made of ceramic. Dating to the Eastern Han Dynasty, it is from Vietnam, which was dominated by the Chinese during that period. Of the many subtle differences between those found in China and those found in Vietnam, this set typically does not include any animal models. Interestngly, these typically also show a thatched roof only, while in the case of this one the house's roof appears tiled, and includes what appears to be the remnants of a terra cotta coat on top. One of the jars, the taller of the two, is a thick set stoneware which in style is almost identical to the Dong Son situlae. the other, a fine bodied stoneware, features identification marks to the lid (the only repaired item in the group ... see pics) as well as to the base. If you would like to have this item T.L. tested as a condition of sale, please email me to discuss how to go about having this done. For more information, pictures, etc. please email me. Measurements (all are approximate): Farm (including grainery and its roof): 6.5x11.25x14.5 inches (16.5x28,5x37 cm.)
House (including roof): 7.5x12x10 inches (19x30.5x25.5 cm.)
jar 1: 6 inches high (15.5 cm.)
jar 2: 4 inches high (10.25 cm.)
