Making less than twenty a year--if making them at all--in various sizes, Fukami Sueharu's kaikei (seascapes) seihakuji (bluish-white porcelain) series are quite extraordinary works of art. This one is a porcelain 'haiku' perfect to inspire at one's desk. It stands at 9cm.tall at the 'tail' and is 12cm.wide. Fukami made it on the wheel and then attached it to custom-made wooden stand. In perfect condition, signed S.Fukami on the base, signed box. Fukami is arguably the most important internationally recognized Japanese ceramic artist of all-time.
