Japanese Hagoita of The Seven Lucky Gods

This early 1900’s large Hagoita is exquisitely crafted in rich silks of the 7 lucky gods. They are seen here in their treasure boat decorated with all the auspicious symbols for longevity, including the minogame turtle, the dragon, the crane and the kotobuki symbol for happiness. The back is hand painted with a sunset scene of sails, flying birds, mountains and pine trees. There is a Mitsukoshi label on the side, a store associated with its fine textiles. Very good condition. Height: 40” Width: 17”
