| This is a stunning Rose Mandarin porcelain teapot with domed cover and pedestal base. Along the broad neck in rich hues and gilding, pheasants and birds fly among a dense floral ground executed in multi-colored enamels in low relief. On its body, a scene of elegantly dressed Chinese royalty enjoy the lakeside and the melodies of a guzheng player while engaged in conversation. The Mandarin color palette of exquisite tones of rose, green, blue, yellow and white enamels, enrich the distinctive form of this teapot and are characteristic of fine Mandarin porcelain wares.
