| This is a beautifully executed plique-a-jour vase with overall floral motif defined by silver wires on a translucent sea-green ground. The vivid and pure enamel colors add to the jewel-like, iridescent quality of the piece. The enamel body is held by silver mounts marked “Silver.” This fine example of a very difficult Japanese cloisonné technique is in excellent condition. Height: 5” Early Taisho Period, Japan | ||||||||
