Original Japanese woodblock print by Ohara Shoson (1877-1945), titled Two Monkeys and Butterfly. Although undated, it is circa late 1920s/early 1930s. The design was published by Watanabe Color Print Co. This design is illustrated at plate S41.6 in Cranes, Crows and Camellias: The Natural World of Ohara Koson. The image measures 14 ¾ by 6 ½ inches, plus full margins. Excellent condition |
