Unusual Paper Fan for Propaganda Use

A rarely seen advertisement paper fan with two scenes, by a Chinese medicine company based in Suzhou. This medicine company has three branches in Shanghai City and this particular fan is for promoting its sore throat pills – "Liu Shen Wan" from their branch at Shanghai south. The font scene showing four lively Angelfish, Chinese name for Angelfish is 'Shen Xian Yu' (literally "fairy fish"), it was a break though from the artist whom decided to use Angelfish to replace the traditional Chinese fairy figures in the early 20th century. The back scene has details list information of the other medicine products and the medicine company addresses, which include main store and three branches in Shanghai.

The "Liu Shen Wan" medicine pills are still very popular in China today.
