This fine stoneware bowl was made during the 13th - 15th century. Both the inner and outer surfaces have been extensively decorated with incised patterns comprising mainly vertical leaf patterns, but also horizontal bands. It has been coated in a finely-crackled transparent celadon glaze of very good colour, save for the heavy foot that remains unglazed. 

A good size with a diameter of 21.5 cm and height of 10 cm. The glaze has flaked in places from around the edge of the rim, where it is at its thinnest. No repair or restoration. A lovely example in very good condition.
