Fine Chinese Neolithic Siwa Culture Pottery Jar
This attractively-shaped pottery jar was made over 3,000 years ago by peoples of the Siwa Culture (c. 1350 BC). Two handles stretch from the wide saddle-shaped mouth to the shoulder of the vessel. It is quite "heavily-potted" and relatively highly-fired, making it much more durable than some examples. It has been fired to a very attractive deep orange colour. A good size to display with a height of 21 cm. We can detect no restoration or repair; this is a lovely example in fine condition. *** TO ORDER THIS ITEM PLEASE EMAIL US QUOTING OUR STOCK NUMBER (see above) - WE SHALL THEN EMAIL YOU BACK WITH POSTAGE COSTS AND PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS *** *** FOR FULL DETAILS OF OUR GUARANTEE AND PAYMENT OPTIONS, PLEASE CLICK ON "Buying from us - All you need to know" ON OUR HOME PAGE *** |
