This blue & white porcelain dish was made over 500 years ago toward the end of the 15th century and was recovered from the Hoi An wreck and sold as part of the Hoi An Hoard sale at Butterfields, San Francisco October 2000. It has a crackled glaze and the base has been coated in a dark brown wash, often seen on Vietnamese ceramics of this period. 

Larger than many examples with a diameter of 25 cm. No repair or restoration; very good condition.
