| Japanese Woodblock Print by Yoshitoshi 1885 Meiji Period 14 x 9 1/2 ins. (35.5 x 24.2 cms) This striking image is from the series Yoshitoshi Musha Burui (Yoshitoshi's Courageous Warriors) Published by Tsunashima Kamekichi in 1885. On a dark rainy night, Taira Tadamori checked out the rumor of a monster appearing in a temple yard. It turned out to be only a temple priest filling oil for lanterns.The print is in good condition with no damage and no repairs. It has the original album backing sheet.
