Very Rare Chinese Han / Warring States Cast Iron Boar / Pig
This extremely rare object was made during the Han Dynasty (206 BC - AD 220) or possibly a little earlier, during the Warring States period (475 - 221 BC). It is a solid cast iron pig, or boar, and, of course, very heavy for its size, weighing 2.5 kg. There are localised areas of fairly heavy corrosion on the surface. Length 18 cm. There is no indication of restoration or repair. Fine condition.
