Rare Chinese Warring States Tiger Ewer with Oxford TL Test
This very rare pottery vessel was made over 2,000 years ago during the Warring States period (475 - 221 BC). It is an elongated ewer in the form of a tiger. Much of the original red and white surface pigments remain. As with many of our finer items, we have had this vessel tested by Oxford Authentications, the only testers of ancient pottery accepted by all major dealers, auction houses and museums worldwide, and the Thermoluminescence Analysis Report that will accompany this item is shown with our pictures below; this confirms the date of manufacture as "between 1,600 and 2,600 years ago". Length 27 cm (10.5 inches). We can see no sign of restoration or repair; fine condition. *** TO ORDER THIS ITEM PLEASE EMAIL US QUOTING OUR STOCK NUMBER (see above) - WE SHALL THEN EMAIL YOU BACK WITH POSTAGE COSTS AND PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS *** *** FOR FULL DETAILS OF OUR GUARANTEE AND PAYMENT OPTIONS, PLEASE CLICK ON "Buying from us - All you need to know" ON OUR HOME PAGE *** |
