Extraordinary Satsuma chawan by Seikozan

Both the interior and exterior of this chawan or ceremonial tea bowl are decorated with processional scenes. The precision of the artwork is unparalleled, with each face and each kimono showing wonderful detail. It measures 3.75" x 6.25" and dates about 1900 - 1910. The condition is excellent.
