15th C., Large & Rare Burmese Sandstone Standing Buddha

Large and very rare Burmese sandstone buddha standing on a base with calm facial expression. The buddha's robe is elegant with gold leaves and delicately carved as layers of pleat. The folds of the robe flow over each other. Traces of original lacquer and gilding remain in excellent condition.

Age: Burma, Ava period, circa 15th - 16th Century
Measurement: Height 171 C.M. / Width 45 C.M. (size excluding black stand)
