19th Century, Burmese Painted Wooden Disciple

Burmese wooden disciples sitting on bases with Burmese inscription at the back of the bases in adoration posture with two hands attached to each other indicating respectful manner. The disciple's robes are delicately carved as layers of pleat. Traces of original lacquer and gilding remain in good condition.

Age: Burmese, Mandalay period, circa 19th Century
Measurement: Height 27.7-28 C.M. / Width 12.1-13.5 C.M.
