Fine Pair Large Imari Vases, Meiji

DESCRIPTION: A fine pair of Imari flared mouth vases, Meiji period, richly executed in traditional cobalt blue, red, orange, and gilt highlights. These are a highly decorative pair in perfect condition with peach kiln marks appearing on the bases (pieces appearing with the peach kiln marks are often of higher quality than the average export wares). No damage, repairs, or restoration of any kind with very minimal rubbing to the gilt. From a private Florida collection. DIMENSIONS: 12” high (30.5 cm) x 6 ½” wide at the shoulders (16.5 cm).
