| DESCRIPTION: A lovely carved ivory snuff bottle in flattened spade form, each side with a shaped cartouche containing carved peonies in full bloom, symbolic in China of good fortune and honor. The base is supported by a raised foot, and the ivory cap is original to the bottle. Excellent condition, C. 1900 – 1920 (late Qing, Early Republic).
