| Well carved mask from Nepal. This is made from a heavy, densely grained hardwood (but stained a darker color); with an old Nepalese rupee set in the forehead and an animal hide goatee and toupee’. I really don’t know much about this piece other than it came from Nepal. It is very thoughtfully crafted, and not a massed produced tourist piece of chachke. There is one chip on the side, H: 23.5cm/9.2in and 15.5cm/6.1in. | |||||||||
