| The size of painted fan: 18 1/2" Long x 8" Long. Pretty Japanese handpainted fan. The Fan is called Mekuri which was originally attached on Ohgi, Japanese fan. The painting done on gold leaf background. The scene from tale of Genji. Three imperial officer have meeting in the imperial garden. It is nicely painted in the Yamatoe style painting. The condition of painting is excellent. Little wear on the bottom edge as well as the corner which is expected for the age. Dating from late 19th century. It can be framed very nicely. The painting is loose sheet(Mekuri). | ||||||||
