| The size of Silver Bonbonniere: 3" Dia x 1 1/4" High. Very fine Japenese Sterling Siilver Bonbonniere. Bonbonniere were popular among exchanging gift between inperial family and relatinve. This bonbonniere has fine silver work with Tsuikon(hammered) finish. It has carved(relief) work of Crane and Clouds on the top center. It came with Shu(Japanese red) color net bag. It came with Kiro wood Tomobako. The bonbonniere was made by Ikoma who was famount silver maker in Meiji period.The writing on the box said, Nanryo Un-Kaku Cho Kashiki. Nanryo mean silver in Meiji period. Crane and Cloud carved sweet ware. The condition of bonbonniere is excellent. Finsh net bag pouch, top area where string are closing area are deteriated with age and some left attached. Dating from Meiji period, 1868-1912. It also has marking of Gin(solver) as well as Ikoma marking on the bottom(photo showing). | |||||||||||||||
