| The size of Fubako: 9 1/2" L x 3 1/4" W x 2" H. Beautiful Japanese Antique Taka-makie(raised lacquer work) and Hira-makie work Fubako(Lacquer Box) with gold Togidashi, and Nashiji finish inside. Fubako with the design of Tsubaki(Japanese Camellia) and Mukudori(Gray Starling) in Taka-Makie. Design of Camellia are worked on the cover as well as the bottom part box both side. It is beautifully done makie work over roiro(black)lacquer. Beautiful Nashiji finish inside of cover as well as inside bottom part. Fubako is Excellent condition, no chip, no crack, no hairline. One end bottom box has little wear spot. It kept well condiiton. It came with storing box. Dating from mid to late 19C. | ||||||||||||||
