| A small square Chinese wine cup with inlaid lac burgaute design encircling the four sides and portraying three scholars in a garden scene with mountains in the background. The inside is lined in silver – now tarnished. The cup measures 1 5/8" high on it footed base and is 2 1/4" square at the top and 1 1/16" square at the base. Excellent condition. From the fine quality of the tiny inlaid mother of pearl bits, we date this piece to the late Ming dynasty, circa 1575-1619. | ||||||||||
