| Qing dynasty (19th century) Each figure similarly modeled as stylized tortoise's, decorated in the usual palette of sky blue, red, yellow and green. The carapace is removable revealing a hallow body, and the tail is shaped so that the lamp can be held between the thumb and the index of the hand. L. 7 in. (17.78 cm.)
