Thai gilt bronze Buddha, Ratanakosin period, 18th/19th century, the Buddha depicted in "Calming The Ocean" mudra. Both hands repaired at wrist, spire missing but very fine casting. Measurements: H 15"; teak wood base H 3 1/2". Provenance: The piece is said to have been owned by a member of the early Chakri dynasty in the late 18th century.
