A very heavy and huge bronze bangle with very interesting zig-zag pattern. It is my understanding that these were placed on woman's ankles to keep them from roaming or it is part of a huge statue. Weight is 2.5 kilos or 5 pounds. Age: 12th century. Size: diameter: 15cm. Condition: Very nice greenish patina.

This is a rare tribal ceremonial pipe of the Salahim People of Shan State, North East Burma. The pipe is carved from a solid piece of the very heavy and closely tightly grained ztitan (black wood). Ehe bowl(front) of the pipe is carved in the form of a tribal elder with a large mustache. Provinance: Ex French collection. Pruchased into that collection circa 1920's Dimensions: 23.5 inches in length

Antique Tibetan gilt bronze Dakini, with traces of silver, inlay of coral and turquoise. In her hands are a raised kappala (or skull cup) filled with the elixir of life, and a curved blade. She is dancing on top of corpses to show her rule over ignorance and ego. Her lotus pedestal is made of gilt copper.

The Dakini are wrathful female deities often shown nude with long, flowing hair and glowering expression...

Antique Tibetan gilt bronze Tibetan Buddhist deity figures, posed into a tantric Yabyum position. The male deity figure wears an elaborate crown with inlay of diamonds and pointed finial. He holds in his hands a vajra (meaning thunderbolt/diamond in Sanskrit), a ritualistic weapon in Buddhism, and a bell. These items represent dualism just as the yabyum. The figures are raised on a tall hardwood pedestal, custom-made for the piece.

Tibetan gilt bronze Buddhist statue, of a wrathful deity assumed in the tantric Yabyum position with his female consort. Below the pair is a Garuda vehicle, devouring the Naga (snake), while a human figure is crushed underneath. They are all raised on a lotus platform, with mixed metal bottom and floral impression.
