12th Century Octagonal Celadon Bowl with white slip inlaid orchids on rocks and a carved floral scroll on the interior rim. The orchid was a favorite symbol of Korean scholars. It represents modesty and purity, and the rock represents eternity. 12th Century Lotus Form Celadon Cup with delicately incised peonies (symbol of prosperity), an incised floral scroll around the outer rim, and a carved chrysanthemum (symbol of abundance) in the bottom of the cup. The base and body of the cup are in the form of lotus blossom petals, a symbol of rebirth and purity. There is some loss to a few petals. 3w x 2.5h inches, 7.5w x 6.5h cm.

The cavetto with inlaid white slip decoration including ornamental band inside the rim and four strawberry sprays surrounding centered chrysanthemum flowerhead within double ring. The exterior with white and black slip inlaid decoration of two graduated bands of chrysanthemum roundels within double rings.
