Depiction of: The print shows four kumosuke (unskilled laborers who frequented the great highways) warming themselves by a fire. A traveler, with pipe in hand, looks on; to his left, a peasant woman with a child on her back passes. Across the bare rice paddies is the village and the Hamamatsu Castle.
Condition: Very Good. This series of prints were mounted as an album at one time, and it explains the backing. This is the reason why the colors are still vivid and bright. Although there are creases and fold lines, there is no loss of color, so the lines are not that noticeable. (Matted print)... Click for details
