An original Japanese color woodblock print in the oban yoko-e size by Utagawa Hiroshige I (1797 - 1858). The print "Clearing weather at Suzaki" from the very rare (as stated by Basil Stewart) series "Eight views of Kanazawa", published 1835-6 by Koshimura Heisuke. Condition: good impression. All margins trimmed, also the right one with the former publisher's seal. Reverse with tape residue. Faded, especially the red color, stained. Few worm holes and quite invisible mid fold. Japanese Edo period woodblock print by Toyokuni III (also known as Kunisada), depicting two tatoo covered actors portraying a fighting scene from the kabuki theater. The title cartouche at the upper right identifies the series as "Five Elements" (Gogyo no uchi). The upper left corner of the image holds the seal of the publisher Maruya Tokuzo, the date seal for 1860, and the signature "Toyokuni ga" within a red cartouche with yellow snow. An original Japanese color woodblock print with blind-printing by Katsukawa Shunko I (1743 - 1812), a pupil of Shunsho. Yakusha-e in hosoban size depicting the actor Iwai Hanjiro IV (1753 - 1800).
