This late Meiji era Japanese silk obi with pattern on both sides of its full 116 inch length is classified as a “han haba” obi because it is half the width of the standard kimono belt and, with its softer texture and informal pattern, is meant to be worn at home or with yukata in the summer. This is a valuable child kimono at the end of Edo period(1800-1867). It is yuzen silk kimono. It is a very exotic design of the elephant, the tiger, the sparrow, and Basho. It draws by the hand and it dyes it. There is a thin stain. There is little damage sideward. However, the state is very good. It is very beautiful child tuzen kimono. I recommend it for your collection. size:105cm x 106cm (41.3" x 41.7")

A stunning Japanese silk kimono designed in the style of a Chinese garment. Designed in Japan along with a purse (see item #1059645)in 1906 by John Brice McDonald for his bride to wear on her wedding day. The bride, Anna Elizabeth Rogers of New Port News, VA, was 18 when they married and the groom was 36. They lived a long and happy life in Raleigh, NC where we are located. Though made for a small person this one-of-a-kind robe will fit up to a size 16 and comes to mid-calf for a 5'4" woman. Ha... Click for details

This is a woodblock print book, Hayabiki Jomon Kagami , dictionary of family crests dated Tenpo 3 (1832). It comes as 102 pages of various Kamon,family crest patterns and has Genjiko, forms used at incense ceremony , and instructions of how to design the family crest.Every kamon has names ,so it is easy to identify what they are. The label on the cover is gone, and it has slight impression on the edges of pages and has holes, some patina. This is perfect reference book for designs and patterns... Click for details
