Five chinese blue and white porcelain tea cups made for the Japanese market. Grey/white glaze and underglaze cobalt blue of a deep indigo color depicts birds and flowers in a whimsical design. The cups were used in the Japanese tea ceremony. Fretting on the edges. 17th century. Cups measure 5" diameter at lip.

This is a very fine old Japanese Bronze vase. The silver egrets are all highly detailed and finished off with gold beaks. The patina is original and the condition is excellent. This 5 inch vase is signed twice but we do not know the marks.

It is made with exclusive gold maki-e symbolic decorations over a body and a cover with a dark brown background lacquer. The interior of the Teapot is made with a red lacquer.
