The genius of the great Imperial ceramicist, Seifu Yohei, is
immediately visible in this
studio porcelain mizusashi of understated beauty. Its body is subtly enameled with delicate moriage renderings of a conch
shell, clam shells and water reeds on a soft, gradated blue ground.
The Seifu Yohei incised signature is on the base. This porcelain
mizusashi is in excellent condition with only minor wear on the lid
consistent with age and use.
