A Japanese silver bowl of double wall structure and foliate rim decorated with applied and raised dragon and pearl motif . It is very well detailed and in spite of its sculptural exterior, the decoration has survived without rubbing. Standing on a spayed foot, it weighs 13 oz. ( 450 grms. ) approx. Diameter: 6 inches (15 cm) age: late Meiji C. 1900. condition: good, only a couple of dings to the interior base and side and a crease to the splayed foot.

This koro or incense burner is in the shape of Japanese Kabuto(samurai's helmet), made from silver.(It is not pure silver, add some other metal about 30%).
The cover has one holes on the top. It can be separated into three.
There is neither damage nor a stain that stands out,too and the censer that gives a very elegant though it is a design of a brave helmet impression.
Measurements about : 13.5cm width, 14.5cm tall.
Weight about : 940.5 grams.
It is in very good condition.

An excellent Yokohama silver flask of ovoid form modeled with a writhing dragon on a partly-hammered ground. Visually powerful, each hand-chiseled detail contributes to the overall energy and realism of the dragon. Unlike its British counterpart, Japanese pure silver is 950 in silver contenthigher than Sterling. This silver flask is in excellent condition with no damage, only some minor wear consistent with use and age. Jungin (Pure Silver) mark on base.

This charming silver bowl with iris emerging from stylized waters would make a fantastic gift or enhance any collection.
