An inscribed Japanese display stand with integrated c-form scrolling legs (fashioned from a single piece of wood) and decorated in a very refined Wakasa-nuri lacquer of characteristic and highly variegated hues ranging from deep burgundy-red to orange-persimmon colored splotches edged in gold and further embellished with pale bluish flecks of mother-of-pearl. Beautiful Japanese carved standing screen with shibayama inlay. This piece has two panels 42" high x 21 1/2" wide set inside it's original highly carved standing wooden screen. The whole screen is 73 3/4"high x 58" wide.
